Too Many RIP's

Lately there has been a lot of 'Names' that have died, however the only one I wish to say Rest in Peace to is Frank McCourt. He truly was the last great writer of our generation. (Yes, Stephen King is great, but, he's in a league all his own.)

I was first introduced to Mr. McCourt's work by my jr. high English teacher. She gave me several of his short stories that had been published in various magazines. She knew my sense of humour, my love of culture, & that I was ahead of my time (I'm elitist, get use to it...) I loved them and eventually read Angela's Ashes. Never before had a book exploded with such emotion & humour at the same time. I know there are some of you have read that book...(for those of you who just watched the film - Shame on you! It's ghastly! Pick up a book you lazy sods.)...if you have, be sure to check out the two follow-up's: 'Tis & Teacher Man.

For you idiots who are into these new-age books (HP or Twilight,) now would be a good time to take you head out of you asses and read a real piece of literature.
